Kinesiology for Emotional Stress

Kinesiology in its simplest terms is often associated solely with posture, movement and muscle balance, but energetic Kinesiology can address an almost unlimited number of issues including mental health and psychological factors - and it's what sparked my enthusiasm for training in Professional Kinesiology Practice (PKP) to begin with. As a specialised form of Kinesiology, PKP addresses the emotional and metaphysical causes of physical issues by linking to an emotional trigger and paying careful attention to why it happened in the first instance - i.e. the bigger picture.

This is possible because we work with the Five Element Cosmology Theory - a fundamental framework of how energy flows through the universe, on every level - as described by the 2,000 year old system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and observed within the acupuncture meridians; all of which have associated emotions, organ systems, movement, nutrition, colour, sound and environmental factors. Each Element and its organ systems has a function within the body and a wider role to play metaphysically.

It enables TCM practitioners and Kinesiologists to find the root cause of a person's issue and not rely on symptoms, which is why I take a whole person view of your health and experiences by collecting a thorough case history before you begin your first session.
This powerful system works with your entire body, mind and spirit.
The Five Elements are:
Wood
Fire
Earth
Metal, and
Water
and, each element's balance is necessary for the healthy function of the next.
Wood is the fuel for Fire, the ashes feed the Earth. The Earth houses the precious metals. Metals are present in water and Water is necessary for trees to grow in Wood. This cycle is called the Shen cycle and is the creative or nourishing cycle maintaining our wellbeing.
If any element is out of balance, then this will lead to an imbalance in the elements either side in the cycle.
Within the Five Elements, energy flows through twelve officials or organ/functions. Each of the twelve have a meridian or energy pathway allowing Chi (Life Force Energy) to flow through the body and when Chi ceases to flow, life stops.
The twelve officials or organ/functions are:
Heart
Small Intestine
Bladder
Kidneys
Pericardium/Circulation-Sex
Triple Warmer
Gall Bladder
Liver
Lung
Large Intestine
Stomach
Spleen
Chi flows from one pathway to the next in the above order, and follows a two hour window within each, which is the basis of our Circadian Rhythm. Often, Chi can get stuck or blocked and is not able to flow to the next meridian... there are specific exit and entry points as well as other types of points that we use during acupressure to release these energy blockages and correct the flow.
When the meridians that are primarily in distress are rebalanced, it can make the most amazing difference to how someone feels and functions. The elements play such a fundamental role in our health and performance, and when we start to think in Five Element terms, transformation is possible on a tangible scale!
